Day

My wrists: the right one is somewhat larger than the other.

Mousing.

Didn’t notice until the day (The Day!) my right elbow froze up.

It’s moments like this I wish I knew something about poetry.

You see, there’s been a death and I … well…

It’s not someone…

OK, I’m being selfish.

It’s Day. That’s his name! Day.

I met him two, maybe five times in the past five years.

He is

Was

My manager’s husband.

Two years after his cancer diagnosis

Almost to the day (not Day!)

Anyway,

He died.

Yesterday.

And, now

I am wondering

Now what?
